Tia Lusso is a Blue Lynx Point Siamese and is the daughter of Tia Maria's 3rd litter. Prior to Lusso being born, I had wanted a Lynx Point girl from Tia Maria, however I had never kept one back from her previous litters. I was over the moon when Tia Maria gave birth in March 2005 and our beautiful Tia Lusso was born. Then after I lost her beloved mum, and my soul mate to Pyometra, on July 27, 2005, I was even more grateful for having kept Tia Lusso here as part of our feline household.

We were even more delighted once we realised Tia Lusso was a Lynx Point, (the only girl in a litter of 3) as even though we do love all Siamese colours, the Lynx Points are our favourite as we think there is something so very special about their markings.

Tia Lusso has an outstanding personality which was passed on to her by her parents however there were times when we had despaired of this girl's mischievous behaviour as a young kitten and wondered why on earth we were keeping her. Having said that, our naughty girl grew up to be a very beautiful, very regal, affectionate and loving lady. Her favourite game is "Fetch" with monkey. Just like her mum, Lucy is incredibly agile and fast, more so than any of our other cats. Once you start a game of fetch with Lucy, then you can't do anything else for the next hour. She tires long before our arms do :)

She is extremely talkative and has a very bad habit of waiting until I walk past her and she then leaps up at my legs to trip me up to get my attention. Yes, this works every time! Being a snobby Lynx Point, she craves attention and is extremely demanding but she does not like to be picked up unless it on her terms for fear her beautiful coat becomes ruffled, heaven forbid that this lady ever has a hair out of place! Tabbies know how beautiful they are and they do set themselves above the rest of the household.

As well as her career as a breeding queen, Tia Lusso has also had a "modeling career" with renowned agency, Animal Ark. This gives credence to the wonderful personality and temperament that Lusso has, not unlike every other Schimmel baby that we have ever bred.

Tia Lusso is a fantastic mum who adores her children. The majority of our queens are excellent mothers but there are a couple who are "born mothers" and Tia Lusso is one of those. She has proven time and time again that she will not ever give up on one of her children, even during those sad times when we have lost babies. Lucy dotes on her children from the absolute moment they are born and when she does not have babies of her own, she mothers our older kittens as well as helping to look after the other mummies' babies.

To date, we have never kept a baby back from Tia Lusso and the reason for this is that as the years progressed, we concentrated solely on the Oriental breed, with emphasis on the Oriental Tabbies. When the time comes to retire our darling Lucy, we will consider keeping an Oriental Spotted Tabby kitten from her.
